Prose & Poetry

This passage is excerpted from the manuscript of "Because the World is Round", a memoir that chronicles the author’s trip around the world as a fifteen-year-old with her father, brother, and mother who was wheelchair-bound from polio.
These five poems tell the story of a life. Written between January and April 0f 2020, the reverberations of physical trauma on me and those I love. Where are the boundaries? Where do I end and where do the ones I love begin?
